Instructions for Use

The 32-bit AVS package is installed in /opt/avs/avs-n32 and 64-bit in /opt/avs/avs-n64.

The 32-bit AVS executable (runs on all SGI systems) is
/opt/bin/avs

The 64-bit AVS (runs on all 64-bit SGIs ie IRIX64 - not on the O2s) is
/opt/bin/avs64
Make sure /opt/bin is in your PATH variable
Then to run type: avs or avs64

There is an help button on all levels of AVS menu

Demos & Tutorials
- Running avs includes an excellent demo and tutorial
When avs is launched,
click on "AVS Applications"/ then "AVS Demo"
In the menu in the top window that appears, click on "control"/ then "auto-run" to get the full demonstration.
Demo selections by subject are also available from this top menu.
