Lecture 3. Dynamics of an inviscid fluid.
Bernoulli's theorem for steady
flow applied to a slowly varying pipe. Intrinsic coordinates in steady
flow. Time-dependent potential flows wioth constant density. Boundary
conditions on an inviscid fluid. Examples: flow past a circular
cylinder; water waves.
Local analysis of the velocity field and the definition of vorticity.
