Assignments

• There will be 13 assignments, one per week
• Assignments will be posted Thursday and due the following Tuesday
• Assignments should be hardcopy (handwritten or typed and printed). Electronic submission by email will not be accepted.
• Hand in code and output for coding parts of assignments
• Neatness and readability count. Points may be subtracted for work that is hard to read, for poor grammar, for excessive crossouts, etc.

Testing and dates

• February 21 (Thursday): 30 minute preliminary quiz
• March 28 (Thursday): whole period midterm exam
• April 2 (Tuesday): midterm grades posted
• May 16 (Thursday) or May 21 (Tuesday) (date to be determined): Final exam

Grading

• 40% for homework, drop up to two low grades
• 5% for the preliminary quiz
• 15% for the midterm exam
• 40% for the final exam
• Will consider alternative weightings for individual students if they have a large impact on the weighted score
