Lessons for the Seventieth Generation**
Saturday • June 1, 2013 • 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM
American educators of mathematics, science, and engineering are invited to attend this special session on the teaching of Archimedean principles/works/inventions at the high school and college/university levels today.

Several small-scale models of machines/mechanisms invented by Archimedes—or believed to have been invented during his time—will be demonstrated; these include The Archimedes Screw … The Archimedes Claw/Iron Hand … The Archimedes Sphere … and The Antikythera Mechanism.

The session is sponsored by IEEE, the world’s largest professional association for the advancement of technology.
