Gravity in 2+1 dimensions

Synopsis:

One of the main open problems in general relativity is the Weak Cosmic Censorship conjecture of Penrose. The conjecture states that singularities are generically hidden inside black holes. We discuss the resolution of this conjecture for a 2+1 dimensional gravity model, under symmetry assumptions.
