Advisement

There are four required courses for this program (Real Analysis I & II and Linear Algebra I & II). The remaining elective courses can be taken in related approved fields such as MATH-GA, DS-GA, CS-GY, ECE-GY, and FRE-GY courses. Students are not permitted to take CSCI-GA courses.

18 credits of the 30 credit program must be taken at Tandon to meet residency requirements, meaning they must end in -GY. GSAS (MATH-GA) math courses do not count towards the NYU Tandon residency requirement, however, you can take MATH-GA courses towards your non-residency elective course requirements, for a maximum of 12 credits outside of Tandon. This means that the majority of courses for this program would be taken at NYU Tandon's Brooklyn campus, with up to 12 credits being taken outside Tandon at the Washington Square campus.
