Outreach

The Courant Institute supports a number of programs that promote mathematics education and interest in mathematics in the greater New York City community.

  • Center for Mathematical Talent
The Center for Mathematical Talent (CMT) coordinates activities for students in the New York City area who would like more mathematics than is included in the usual mathematics classroom.
  • cSplash
Courant Splash is an annual one-day lecture series at the Courant Institute of New York University, aimed at mathematically-inclined high school students in the New York metropolitan area.
  • GSTEM
GSTEM is an intensive six-week summer research program for high school girls. Students are paired with a STEM scientist who mentors them through a research project. This is a unique opportunity to learn hands-on STEM skills and develop a network of like-minded and talented girls.
