Geometric Crystals and Lie Groups

Synopsis:

A crystal structure on the space V of a representation of a Lie group G is a parametrization of a basis of V compatible with the action of G. Such a parametrization was discovered by Kashiwara and Lusztig. In our work we "lift" this combinatorial construction to an algebra-geometric one. This lifting is important in the study of multiple Dirichlet series. (This work is with A. Berenstein.)
