Geometric Analysis and Topology Seminar

On Kähler–Ricci Shrinkers

Speaker: Junsheng Zhang, NYU Courant

Location: Warren Weaver Hall 512

Date: Friday, September 4, 2026, 11 a.m.

Synopsis:

In this talk, we will discuss several results on Kähler–Ricci shrinkers, i.e., shrinking gradient Kähler–Ricci solitons. We show that such a space admits a polarized Fano fibration structure and, in particular, places strong restrictions on the ambient complex structure. We will also discuss, in some cases, how the complex structure determines the metric structure, as well as some uniform estimates for Kähler–Ricci shrinkers. Part of the talk is based on joint work with Yu Li and Song Sun.
