Stability of Minkowski space for the Einstein-Klein-Gordon system

Speaker: Benoit Pausader, Brown University

Synopsis:

We show that small and smooth perturbations of the Minkowski space  lead to global solutions for the Einstein-Klein-Gordon system and we  describe the properties of the spacetimes constructed. The novelty of  this problem comes from the coupling between between two different  modes of propagations and the slow decay of the initial data whose  asymptotic behavior is assumed to be almost isotropic at infinity.
