Sharp commutator estimates for the variation of Coulomb and Riesz energies
Speaker: Sylvia Serfaty, Sorbonne Université, LJLL

Synopsis:
We will discuss joint works, in particular with Matt Rosenzweig and with Elias Hess-Childs and Matt Rosenzweig that prove sharp functional inequalities of commutator nature for Coulomb and Riesz energies. These are useful for deriving mean-field limits or effective evolution equations for large systems of points in singular (Coulomb or Riesz type) interaction, and for studying fluctuations of such systems with noise at equilibrium.
