Synopsis:

Abstract: The Strominger-Yau-Zaslow conjecture asks for the existence of special Lagrangian torus fibrations on Calabi-Yau manifolds near the large complex structure limit. I will discuss some recent progress on this, especially the case of the Fermat family of hypersurfaces.
