Student Probability Seminar
Random Morse Functions and the Gaussian Orthogonal Ensemble
Speaker: Antonio Auffinger
Location: Warren Weaver Hall 202
Date: Friday, October 23, 2009, 3 p.m.
Synopsis:
We study the landscape structure of high dimensional smooth Gaussian Fields and its connection to Random Matrix Theory. Through the talk, we will introduce some basic facts about large deviation principles in order to study the complexity of spin glass models. The talk will be self-contained, no background necessary!
