Student Probability Seminar
The Stochastic Localization Technique for Controlling Isoperimetry
Speaker: Austen Mazenko, CIMS
Location: Warren Weaver Hall 1314
Date: Monday, March 17, 2025, 11 a.m.
Synopsis:
We discuss the KLS conjecture, an important topic in the field of convex geometry with algorithmic applications. Specifically, we introduce Eldan's Stochastic Localization technique and explain its recent utilization in improving the dimension dependence of lower bounds for the isoperimetric KLS coefficient.
