Rational Curves on Bi-Disc Quotients

Synopsis:

I'll prove and discuss the consequences of the existence of rational curves on bi-disc quotients in positive characteristic. The main article is here, although it doesn't contain a further interesting consequence: failure of smooth base change in étale homotopy (notwithstanding that this is a theorem in étale co-homology) that I will probably discuss.
