Mostly Biomathematics Lunchtime Seminar

Around some recent results about Reaction-Diffusion systems in Neuroscience context

Speaker: Benjamin Ambrosio, Le Havre Normandy University

Location: Warren Weaver Hall 1314

Date: Tuesday, May 14, 2019, 12:30 p.m.

Synopsis:

In this talk I will focus on recent qualitative results related to a Reaction-Diffusion (RD) FitzHugh-Nagumo (FHN) type system.  I will first start to recall some aspects of seminal works of AL. Hodgkin, AF. Huxley and R. FitzHugh.  I will then introduce the RD FHN type model and provide results in different contexts: Networks, pattern formation, synchronization... Finally, I will provide analytical and numerical insights around some bifurcation phenomena and stability of particular solutions.
