Uniform measures: examples and characterizations

Speaker: A. Dali Nimer, Chicago

Location: Warren Weaver Hall 517

Date: Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 11 a.m.

Synopsis:

A measure in \(\mathbb{R}^d\) is called \(n\)-uniform if the measure of a ball of radius \(r\) centered at a point \(x\) of its support is given by \(cr^n\) for some fixed constant \(c\).
In this talk, I will present some results on their geometry including a description of their support and a family of new examples of uniform measures.
