Some examples of manifolds with positive Ricci curvature

Synopsis:

Abstract :We review some classical constructions of manifolds with positive Ricci curvature and bring new perspectives to them. Surprisingly, these new observations give negative answers to two longstanding open questions: one is about the properness of Busemann function at a point, and the other one concerns the Hausdorff dimension of singular sets in Ricci limit spaces. This is joint work with Guofang Wei.
