Modeling and simulation of dynamic cross-linked networks

Synopsis:

Sophie will investigate how to accurately and efficiently model binding kinetics of cross linkers diffusing around and attaching to fibers, as is common in the cytoskeleton. Then, Ondrej will give a more detailed look at how we use the coarse-grained model to simulate a cross-linked network of hundreds of actin fibers and quantify their mechanical properties using different morphologies and models of hydrodynamic interactions.
