Poincare and Logarithmic Sobolev Inequalities

Synopsis:

In this survey talk I shall present some applications of Poincare and logarithmic Sobolev inequalities to concentration of measure, as well as to the study of convergence to equilibrium for interacting spin systems, before presenting some methods to derive logarithmic Sobolev inequalities.
