Synopsis:
In the IDLA model, particles are repeatedly dropped at the origin of the 2d lattice. Each successive particle then performs an independent simple random walk until it "sticks" at the first site not previously occupied. I will present two theorems: 1) the shape of the particle cluster approaches an Euclidean ball, 2) About \(n^4\) steps are needed to grow a lattice ball of radius \(n\).
