Student Probability Seminar
Ising model, Schramm-Loewner Evolution and Conformal Field Theory
Speaker: Xingjian Di, CIMS
Location: Warren Weaver Hall 517
Date: Tuesday, November 8, 2022, 1 p.m.
Synopsis:
Starting from the Ising model, we will see how Schramm-Loewner Evolution (SLE) and Conformal Field Theory (CFT) emerges in the scaling limit. A brief introduction to SLE and CFT will then be given, and I will mention how integrable structures in random curves give formulas for CFT observables, for instance the imaginary DOZZ formula in Liouville CFT. Finally, I will discuss a few conjectures and beliefs about how spin models, SLE and CFT can be unified in some sense.
