B.A / M.S. (BAMS) Program

Program Overview

Interested in pursuing a Master’s degree in the Graduate School of Arts & Science (GSAS)? Current students in the College of Arts & Science (CAS) and Global Liberal Studies (GLS) have the opportunity to earn a Master’s degree in one year with a 50% discount on graduate tuition and registration fees. Students in this accelerated program can complete both degrees in five years.

While an undergraduate, interested students need to meet with CAS, to be approved to apply to the accelerated program.

Requirements

Before completing their Bachelor’s degree, accepted Bachelor’s-Master’s students must complete a certain number of required graduate coursework (with a minimum grade of “B”) to make progress toward their intended Master’s program. This is a strict requirement as it is the only way students can complete the Master’s program at an accelerated pace.

  • The minimum 128 credits necessary to graduate
  • The 64 Credit CAS Residency
  • Any Core Curriculum, major, or minor requirements
  • The minimum cumulative/major 2.0 GPA requirement

Graduate Math Department Requirements:

Minimum Required Graduate Coursework: 3 courses/9 credits

Additional Application Requirements:

  • Minimum 3.7 average GPA from all Mathematics courses taken
  • Completion of at least 2 of the following courses:
